School Is Back In Session!

It's Tues., Sept. 3, and you know what that means - school night hours are back in effect. At 8:00 a.m., 1,101 South County Middle School students found their seats and listened to the first of many morning announcements.

"I'm not nervous," said 8th grader Dominique Copeland. "I know most of my teachers this year."

The transition to middle school can be difficult for some students.

"It's a huge transition from a very small class with one teacher to a very large class with seven teachers," said South County Middle School Principal Marsha Manning. "We teach them to be responsible and to take responsibility for their behavior and academics."
