Back To School Shopping? Consider The 'Dollar Tree' In Lorton

After you've shelled out for a fleet of new backpacks and a pile of school clothes there's always that dreaded list of supplies your kids will need when school gets rolling again next month.

'Dollar Tree' in the Gunston Plaza Shopping Center has those smaller items on the list, and it could end up saving you some serious cash.

"I think back to school shopping hits all families hard in the pocket," said Karie Lindemann, who shopped at the store on Monday afternoon. "You have to be smart where you shop. I have two kids and you can imagine what it must be like for a family with four or five kids. It can add up quickly."

One aisle of the Dollar Tree is currently occupied by pens, pencils, crayons, markers, highlighters, dry erase boards, magnetic mirrors, calculators, glue, scissors, erasers, notebooks and paper, binders, index cards and protractors.

FYI: Everything for sale is a dollar.
