So where are we on the drought lately? It’s been a fairly wet September, but perhaps that’s only in comparison to the rest of the year. September had 0.6” less rain than normal. Year to date we’re still 12.4” short. My rain gauge in Lorton recorded the following precipitation at 6am on the day indicated for the previous 24 hours:
