Register for the CrossFit Cold War Mid-Atlantic Competition

Registration to participate in the second annual Cold War Mid-Atlantic Regional CrossFit competition opens on Aug. 31. Are you ready? 

"It's going to be the biggest CrossFit competition in the mid-Atlantc region," said Liberation co-owner and event organizer Carrie Ziniewicz, who expects the open slots to be filled soon. "The sporting events will be released three or four days before the competition, so prepare yourself for anything."

The competition will be held Dec. 1-2 at the South Run Rec. Center in Springfield, and there are 60 individual (30 men and 30 women) and 40 team (Four people) slots available. CrossFit co-owner Atom Ziniewicz is also looking for an active Coach/Athlete of a mid-atlantic affiliate to act as a judge for the competition. Judges will receive a T-Shirt, CrossFit discounts and a gourmet Paleo-friendly catered lunch.

"Anything" includes pull-ups, pushups, tire flips, running, Sumo Deadlift High Pulls and dozens of other CrossFit exercises. 

"CrossFitters keep things constantly varied, and we're expected to be prepared for the unknown," said Ziniewicz. Registration opens Aug. 31 at 7 p.m. on "The Cold War Mid-Atlantic Competition" Facebook page.
