Michael Cariola Named President and CEO of Lorton's Bode Technology

He's a veteran of the forensics firm.

Forensics scientist Michael Cariola has been named President and Chief Executive Officer of the Bode Technology Group forensics firm in Lorton. 

Cariola, a long-time executive for the company, spent the past year as its Chief Operating Officer. He tkes the helm from ormer President and CEOf Barry Watson, who is retiring and will remain a senior advisor.

"Michael has been an outstanding COO, and we are proud to announce his appointment as Bode's CEO and President," stated Bart M. Schwartz, Chairman of SolutionPoint International, which owns Bode, in a press release. "His results-oriented approach and ability to think strategically will play a pivotal role in extending Bode's track record of innovation."

Cariola has a degree in biology from Cornell University and a Master's in Forensic Science from The George Washington University. His 15-year career at Bode has included stints as Senior Vice President, Director of Operations and Laboratory Director. 

Bode Technology Group is an independent firm that contract services to law enforcement agencies around the world. The company has identified remains of Sept. 11 victims, has exonerated wrongly-convicted felons and identifies the identities of criminals at-large.
