"I do limit myself to two weddings a day," said shop co-owner Carol Chabra. "It can go fancy or simple, from $75 for a bouquet and a boutonniere. I encourage the bride that this is her wedding and no one else's. Her bouquet is the most important thing."
The period between Mother's Day and Thanksgiving is without holidays - time spent by the flower shop filling wedding, anniversary and birthday orders.
"We ask that you bring in magazine ads or photographic samples resembling something that you want," said Carol. "And we fill special orders. If I don't have it, give me a day and I can find it."
Gunston Flowers requests that wedding orders come in three-to-four months in advance of the big day, but last-minute requests will be entertained.
