The Lorton Community Action Center Needs Donations For 90 Kids

Nearly 90 children need to be 'adopted'.

The Lorton Community Action Center needs donations to fill more than 90 backpacks with school supplies.

"If you think of the average cost of a backpack full of school supplies you're looking at $50 per backpack," said LCAC Executive Director Linda Patterson. "For a family not having that expense means they're able to pay for a tank of gas or a utility bill."

The LCAC’s back to school drive will provide school supplies for more than 600 Lorton elementary school students. You can also purchase supplies for the students online.
