Workhouse Receives South Korean Delegation

The group was given a tour by John Mason, president of the Lorton Arts Foundation

A contingent of South Korean visitors stopped at Lorton's  on a tour of Northern Virginia on Tuesday. The group included Cho Byung-Don, Mayor of Icheon City, and his wife, and was accompanied by press from WKTV Korea Today and WKTVUSA.  

“Hosting this international contingent from Korea today, continues to raise the profile of Fairfax County’s Workhouse Arts Center from regional attraction to international destination,” said John Mason, President and CEO of the Lorton Arts Foundation. 

The group toured the Glass and Ceramics studio buildings, as well as one mixed media building.

Icheon is highly regarded for its ceramics programs. Last week, the delegation also visited and signed a cultural agreement with the city of Santa Fe, NM, according to the Santa Fe New Mexican
