Only 56 pieces out of 600 were selected for the 3rd Annual Workhouse Clay National Exhibition at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton.
The free exhibition, which will be held from now until Sept. 8, was judged by Virginia Scotchie, the head of ceramics at the University of South Carolina.
The public reception for the show will be held from 6-9 p.m. on Aug. 3, 2013.
