Worship Service to Celebrate Living Water Jubilee

Special UNDER THE TENT worship service

Rev. Pat Watkins will lead us in worship and praise of God's Creation.  Rev. Watkins is a Church and Community Worker for the United Methodist Church and "Executive Director of Caretakers of God's Creation", a Virginia Conference creation care ministry team.

Please come and celebrate Silverbrook United Methodist Church and Retreat Center's 105th Anniversary in the Lorton Community.  This Anniversary Celebration, Living Water Jubilee, begins Friday, Sept 14th at 5pm and ends with lunch on Sunday, Sept. 16th.  The congregation has planned many activities and entertainment for all to enjoy. Young and old alike will learn the many opportunities availabe to us in taking care of ourselves, our homes and our environment via the many environmental and ecological displays and  presentations that will take place on Saturday.  One of the many exhibitors will be the Eco-Eternity Forest, www.EcoEternity.com , learn about natural and eco-friendly funerals.

The King Street Bluegrass Band will begin the festivities of a weekend long celebration at 5pm.  The band will play under a big tent venue and a free dinner will be served.  What's for dinner?  Homemade soups!

Following the live entertainment, we will hold an evening worship service led by Rev. Pat Watkins.

Living Water Jubilee goes through Sunday, Sept. 16th with  environmental and ecological vendors on Saturday, Sept. 15th at 9am- 2pm, yard sales 9am-1pm, chicken bbq and bake sale 9am-1pm, bluegrass bands playing Saturday afternoon beginning around 1pm (the Flower Hill String Band and the Unclouded Day Band; Moon bounce, face painting, Quilt auction, cake waLK, HISTORICAL CHURCH TOUR, special exhibitors such as Aquabarrels,  (barrel and DIY  Kit is $75) for info visit http://www.aquabarrel.com/product_rain_barrel_parts_kit_earthminded.php
and Eco-Eternity Forest (www.EcoEternity.com); we will also have the Ghana Wesley UM Mission Choir on Saturday evening.
