Workhouse Film Institute: "The Adventures of Prince Achmed" With Special Guest, "Tom Teasley"

Percussionist Tom Teasley performs live accompaniment to a screening of the film "The Adventures of Prince Achmed". This story taken from "Arabian Nights" and features the amazing hand cut silhouettes of Lotte Reiniger. The film premiered in Germany in 1926 and is still as breathtaking and contemporary as it was then! Following the screening, Mr Teasley will recount his recent trips to the Middle East and discuss the creative process and his experiences in World Music.
