Make Valentines at Lake Accotink’s Hearts and Crafts Program

Handmade Valentine gifts seem to mean the most to those we love. On Saturday, February 12,

2011, from 10 a.m. to noon, children ages 6 to 10 are invited to create a variety of seasonal crafts

for their friends and family at Lake Accotink Park.

The Visitor’s Center classroom provides a comfortable space for creative cupids to make

bookmarks, picture frames, gift boxes, and other handmade keepsakes. Kids will enjoy tasty

Valentine’s treats such as hot cocoa and cookies, and they’ll celebrate the spirit of the holiday

with Charlie Brown as they watch classic Peanuts Valentine’s Day specials.

The fee of $24 per child includes all craft material and snacks. Advance registration is required.

Lake Accotink Park is located at 7500 Accotink Park Road in Springfield, Va. To reach the

visitor center, follow the access road and take the first left.
