MAD for Color!

The 2nd floor of Gallery W-16 will be transformed into a colorful home-like setting featuring the interior design styling of June Shea of Shea Studio Interiors, Inc. and the artwork of the Workhouse's MAD Artists! and Designer's Choices artists of 2010. The MAD Artist! program is a merger of art and design where regional interior design professionals from the Association of Interior Design Professionals (AIDP) work with Workhouse Studio Artists to create a room vignette around original works of art, both 2D and 3D. The interior designers also designate work from the Workhouse Associate Artists as Designer's Choice pieces that are featured each month.

The  2nd floor gallery space will be transformed into a bedroom, a living room, a dining room and a powder room. Along with the work of the 2010 MAD Artists, these rooms will feature signature pieces of furniture from Hardwood Artisans, hand-crafted designer pillows donated for silent auction by several members of AIDP, and other design elements and pieces from area crafters. All of the work, furniture and other design elements within these room spaces will be available for purchase.
