Friday Friends Book Club

  • Why Go: This book club for children ages 8-12 will discuss “The Borrowers” by Mary Norton.  Registration is required.

EcoSavvy Gardening Symposium

  • Where: Green Spring Gardens, Annandale
  • When: Saturday, Feb. 25 from 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Why Go: The focus of this year’s symposium is “Birds, Bats, Bees and Bugs”.  Master Gardeners will discuss ways to improve and enrich our environment through gardening.  Registration is required.
  • Price: $50 for Fairfax County residents; $65 for non-residents
  • Where: Mount Vernon Recreation Center, Alexandria
  • When: Saturday, Feb. 25 from 7 – 10 p.m.
  • Why Go: Dance the night away while supporting a worthy cause. Proceeds to benefit the Miracle League of Alexandria.

The President’s Own U.S. Marine Band

  • Why Go: Enjoy a relaxing afternoon with the United States Marine Band at this free concert open to the public.
