The Lorton Volunteer Fire Department Buys $211,000 Ambulance

It's a Ford F-550

The Lorton Volunteer Fire Department will have to rake in a lot of money from Bingo to pay for its latest expenditure - a $211,000 2013 Ford F-50 ambulance.

"We just purchased it, and now Fairfax County is putting in computers, medical equipment and getting it all set up," said Volunteer Fire Chief Earl Curtis.

The fire station, which is comprised of Fairfax County Firefighters, has been funded by bingo since it opened in 1954.
