Shadow of Boston Marathon Bombing Falls on Northern Virginia/DC

Dozens of runners in the race are from Fairfax County.

Shock from the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings has been felt across the country, and particularly so near the nation's capital. 

Three people are reported dead and more than 100 injured after two explosions near the Boston Marathon finish line on Monday at around 3 p.m.
