Parks and streets in Lorton were deserted on Monday afternoon due to the conditions caused by Hurricane Sandy. But a few folks were out running some last-minute errands.
With schools and government offices closed and Virginia State Police urging residents to stay off the roads, most of the traffic in Lorton on Monday was at grocery stores as residents ventured out to gather additional supplies.
