Lorton's Clock Tower Is Ten Minutes Fast

Lorton's clock tower isn't broken - its just 10 minutes fast.

For years, the time on the clock was wrong/stuck, prompting some to question whether the hands were painted on.

Kettler agreed to build the tower (which would function properly and be seen from Interstate 95) as a condition for developing the Lorton Station Town Center.

But two years ago, Lorton's Shep Crow had had enough of all this bad timing and convinced Kettler to fix the clock.

"I went by the Lorton clock a short time ago and all four dials were registering 10 minutes fast," said Crow.

So, don't panic if you're running late and happen to see the hands of Lorton's clock tower. You've got 10 minutes to spare.
