Here are five fun things to in the Lorton area this weekend

It's the weekend and you're looking to have some fun. Patch can help with our picks of the top activities around Lorton.

  • Where: South County Secondary School, 8501 Silverbrook Road, Lorton
  • What: Cheer on the Stallions as they take on Stone Bridge in the playoffs.
  • Cost: $7

  • Where: Town Hall, 314 Mill St., Occoquan
  • What: Kick off the holiday season with the tree lighting at Town Hall.
  • Cost: Free
  • When: Saturday, Nov. 19, Noon to 4 p.m.
  • Where: Dominion Baseball Academy, 8938 Telegraph Road, Lorton
  • What: Free access to the Dominion Baseball Academy Sportsplex. Games and prizes throughout the day. Enjoy hamburgers, hot dogs, snacks and drinks.
  • Cost: Free
  • When: Saturday, Nov. 19, 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Where: Burke Volunteer Fire and Rescue, 9501 Old Burke Lake Road, Burke
  • What:  South County Secondary School Crew Booster Club hosts “A Night with Elvis” featuring the Elvis Presley tribute group Lionel Ward & the New World Band. There will be dinner, drinks and a silent auction.
  • Cost: $40 for one; $75 for two. For tickets contact Shirley White at 703-867-2683.
  • When: Saturday, Nov. 19, 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • Where: Workhouse Arts Center, 9601 Ox Road, Lorton
  • What: Make it a date to whip up a meal at the Workhouse Arts Center. Make it dinner and dancing; come at 7 for a 30-minute ballroom dancing lesson.
  • Cost: $30 per person for dinner; $5 per person for dancing.
