- What: Help tie the new hiking-biking trail into the trailhead at Old Colchester Road by raking, cutting roots and landscaping. Wear work boots or sturdy, closed-toe footwear and outdoor work clothes and bring a water bottle. Gloves, bug spray, tools and food will be provided.

- What: Sing hymns and hear the Choir of Pohick, the Pohick Bell Choir, the Pohick Pickers, the St. Cecelia St. Alban Choir and the St. Francis Choir in concert.

- Where: 7500 Accotink Park Rd., Springfield
- What: The Cardboard Boat Regatta takes place at Lake Accotink Park at 2 p.m. Whether you’re racing or just watching, it’s fun to see who will sink or float. Vendors will be selling food.
- Cost: There will be a one-day parking fee due to anticipated crowds. Or park just outside the park entrance and take a free shuttle bus from noon to 6 p.m.
