Five great ways to spend your weekend

It is the official start of Spring Break this weekend. And we have the wacky spring weather to prove it. It will be sunny Friday and Sunday, but cooler and rainy on Saturday. Not to worry, there are plenty of indoor and outdoor events going on this weekend.

Here are Lorton Patch's Top Five:

1. Mason Neck State Park has its annual  on Saturday from 10:00am - 4:00pm. Come enjoy hayrides, food, canoe tours, and more. This is a family event and is free.

2. Are you a Dancing with the Stars fan and want to try the Venetian Waltz? The Workhouse Arts Center is hosting  on Saturday from 7:00pm - 10:30pm. There will be complimentary refreshments, a cash bar, and a mini lesson available beforehand. The cost is $10 a person.

3. Fairfax County's annual  is this Saturday from 9:00am-2:00pm. There is a full day of events scheduled and some activities are going to be moved indoors due to weather.

4. The monthly community series at . The lecture begins at 7:30pm tonight. He will be discussing his latest book series: Borlang: The Mild Mannered Maverick Who Fed a Billion People.

5. Lorton Library is also having a  this weekend. Author and poet Ruth Baja Williams is have a workshop on Saturday from 2:00pm-3:00pm. Ruth will be working with participants to create their own poem to a picture.
