Help Bring Suicide 'Out of the Darkness'. The National Capital Area Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is planning its annual Out of the Darkness Community Walks. Learn how to join in on the walk on Sunday, Sept. 8, at Fairfax Corner Shopping Center.

National Night Out in Lorton Park. National Night Out events are planned for communities all over Northern Virginia to support local law enforcement. These men—who have changed their lives to become teachers, ministers and counselors—will share their stories between songs.
