Former Anglican Use Mass is now,’ Divine Worship’ and being celebrated in Northern Virginia
The newly-revised liturgy for the Ordinariate Use of the Roman Rite, which was formerly known as the Anglican Use, will be used in most U.S. Ordinariate parishes as of Advent I. The revised liturgy, now called, “Divine Worship”, is a Roman Rite which incorporates material from historical Books of Common Prayer and Anglican Missals while retaining most of the beautiful language and prayers.
The regularly-scheduled 5:00 pm Sunday Mass at Our Lady of Hope Parish in Potomac Falls, VA is the only place in Northern Virginia where Mass is celebrated according to the Ordinariate Use. Fr. Randolph Sly is the celebrant as well as Chaplain of the St. John Fisher Catholic Community, part of the new Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of Saint Peter.
Fr. Sly, will be available immediately each Sunday after 5:00 Mass to answer any questions concerning the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of Saint Peter, St. John Fisher Catholic Community, and Divine Worship.
