Spread holiday Cheer in Lorton - This Saturday, Dec. 15th!

Gifts and food baskets needed for local children and families by THIS SATURDAY - DEC. 15th!

The initial results of the post-Thanksgiving shopping frenzy indicate that millions of people launched their holiday shopping.  However, for hundreds of local families in southeast Fairfax County – there is no option for shopping and the reality of few – if any - gifts for their children.

However, YOU can make a difference by “adopting” a local child or senior citizen (or several!) and fulfilling their holiday wish for a gift item.  Gift items are still needed by THIS Saturday, December 15 for the Lorton Community Action Center’s (LCAC) annual holiday gift and food distribution.

To get the details and scan the list of gift wishes, click HERE. Be sure to scroll down the list or start at the END of the list to see those wishes that still need to be "adopted." Also, food baskets are needed!

Grocery gift cards may also be dropped off that day or may be mailed, in advance, to LCAC, P.O. Box 154, Lorton, VA 22199-0154 or dropped off at LCAC’s offices at 9518 Richmond Highway (U.S. Rte. 1 – behind the Lorton Community Library) between 8:30 am and 5 pm.

Once again, LCAC is grateful for the generosity of The Moose Family Center in Lorton for their willingness to donate their large meeting space for the food and gift drop-off and distribution as well as the numerous volunteers who make the Holiday outreach possible!
