Hundreds of coats needed for Warm Coat Drive on Tuesday, Nov. 13

LCAC Coat Drive

LCAC is collecting new and gently used coats, gloves, scarves, and boots as well as NEW hats for local individuals, families and senior citizens to help keep them warm this winter!  Infant through adult size items are needed with a particular emphasis on coats for young children.

When trying to decide if something is “gently used” or not; ask yourself, is this something that I would still wear - as is? If the answer is "Yes," then add it to the donate pile and help someone in our community stay warm this winter!  Items should be clean and ready for those in need to wear.  Also, please note that all hats should be new.

Donations may be dropped off on Tuesday, November 13 at the Moose Family Center between 11 am - 2 pm. The Moose Family Center is located at 9612 Fernedge Lane in Lorton (just off of Richmond Highway - Rte. 1).  Or items may be dropped off at LCAC  at 9518 Richmond Highway (behind the Lorton Community Library) between 8:30 am – 4 pm Monday through Friday any day prior to the distribution.
