4. Number of the Day: 0.3 miles. That’s a rough estimate of the distance between the runway at Shannon Airport and a Fredericksburg Wawa gas station. A pilot made an emergency landing at the gas station when he realized he was desperately low on gas and feared he couldn’t make it to the runway without crashing.
