Virginia Railway Express has canceled all service on Monday.
The decision was made Sunday evening after a conference call with U.S. Department of Personnel Management and National Weather Service officials, VRE spokesman Mark Roeber said.
Federal offices are closed tomorrow and the Washington, D.C. metro is expected to be hit with high winds never before experienced in this area, Roeber said.
No decision has been made about Tuesday operations.
An announcement will be made by 6 p.m. Monday in regards to Tuesday service.
