The South County High School band and color guard are hard at working preparing for their four-tune halftime show performance, and have spent the last few weeks learning hundreds of steps. 

The first home game for the South County varsity football team is on Sept. 7. The Stallions play Oakton. 

Stained glass is the theme of this year's performance, and the songs include "Blue Cathedral" and "The Engulfed Cathedral". 

"It's all about the first time that you walk into a cathedral and how it makes you feel when you see the splendor of all the stain glass windows," said Gary English, South County's Director of Bands, to Patch on his way out to rehearsal in the school parking lot.
