In the last week the condition of the main building at the Meadowood Special Recreation Area has become an issue. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), which owns the building, initially suggested that because the building is in such poor condition, it should be razed in favor new structure. But when the public learned that the new building would have 20 stables instead of the existing 46, they reacted angrily. The BLM has since changed course and now will re-open debate on the fate of the building. The accompanying photos are not comprehensive and don't reveal every single nook and cranny, but they do give an idea of the general state of the building.
