It is always dangerous to open your door to a knock anytime, day or night without looking to see who it is and if you can identify him/her as someone you had requested to come to your home. I have a side panel to my door. I do not open it unless it is a person - as in telephone, plumber, electrician. A charity? maybe. This is the time of year when the Heart Association does their door to door particularly in February. I have had itinerant religious types, i.e., Morman, etc. come to tell me their "Great News". If I don't want them to come in, I will excuse myself to them and they leave. There are too many looking for an easy way to scare you, rape you, tear up your house in looking for money or "nice things" to take. Always!!!!! Keep yourself safe! DO NOT OPEN THAT DOOR.
