Sixth-graders at Laurel Hill Elementary School held their second annual car wash on Saturday, and despite some cold, gray weather, the turnout was strong.

The event was a fundraiser for the end of year “Cosmic” bowling day at Fort Belvoir Bowling Alley in June. Estimates put the total funds raised at about $1200.

And if the kids are as good at science and math as they are at washing cars, then the guess is that there are lot of report cards being sent home with A’s and B’s.
