At Lorton Area Schools This Week...

Reports cards, plays and PTA

 

Thursday is Veteran's Day and it's is shaping up to be the busiest day this week at schools in the Lorton Area:

Monday, November 8

It's the last chance for parents to opt their children out of the forthcoming Youth Survey.

There will be a meeting in the South County Secondary School auditorium to discuss the opening of the new middle school from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Tuesday, November 9

Both Laurel Hill Elementary and Newington Forest Elementary are having PTA meetings in their respective school libraries at 7 p.m.

Wednesday, November 10

Gunston Elementary continues its afterschool programs.

South County has a Winter Sport Information night from 7 -9 p.m.

Thursday, November 11 (Veteran's Day)

Parents can join Lorton Station Elementary School principals for coffee between 9:20 and 10:20 a.m. Also, at Lorton Station ES is the Thanksgiving luncheon from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

There's a Baccalaureate Meeting from 7-9 p.m in the South County Secondary School Library.

Gunston Elementary distributes report cards for the first quarter.
